Cross Tattoos For Christians And Others

There are many cross tattoos out there and you may need to use several resources to find the one that is perfect for you.  Many people have some sort of Christian faith belief and want to represent it in the form of a tattoo.  A cross is a great way to proclaim your faith in a non dramatic way.

When you are planning your tattoo you will want to make sure what types of cross you are getting because crosses have different meanings.  The Celtic cross is a very popular choice and you can normally define this type of cross by the ring in the center.  A Celtic cross represents Christianity.  A Latin cross usually has the body of Jesus on the cross.  This is normally associated with the Catholic faith.

The Crusader’s cross is made up of five different crosses and is a really neat cross to have as a tattoo.  This cross is also represents the Christian faith. The Aztec cross is not associated with Christianity and the points resemble petals.  This is the cross used by the Aztecs and dates back before Christianity was recorded.

Some other crosses that do not represent the Christian faith are the anchor cross and this is usually worn by sailors or fisherman.  An anchor cross represents good luck for the sailor and is said to help them get back home safely.  The gothic cross represents pain and darkness.  This is once again unrelated to Christianity and is normally seen in people who have a Goth or vampire lifestyle.

Crosses may also be used to represent someone that has passed away as a memorial.  If you have a Catholic belief, you may want to include a rosary or praying hands into your cross.  You can even include someone’s name on or near the cross as a tribute.

You do not have to use a traditional design of cross and it might be a good idea to create a cross of your own style.  A cross can be as simple of as you want it and it can be as detailed as you want it.  It is very hard to remove a tattoo and you want to make sure that you are completely satisfied with the tattoo you get.  You do not want to go through the painful and expensive removal process later.  If you take your time and make a good decision, you can have cross tattoos that you want to display forver.

Summary: Cross tattoos come in many forms.  You should check out the many styles before you make a decision.  You want to find a tattoo that represents your beliefs.  You do not want a tattoo that does not represent the things you believe in and you can find out much more now.
