The Meaning Of Rose Tattoos

Rose tattoos are one of the most popular tattoos ever and when you define the meaning of the colors of the roses, you will understand why.

A red rose is the most common type of tattoo.  A red rose represents love and romance and this is why so many people posses this type of tattoo.  Most people put a name in a red heart or have two hearts intertwined to represent the person they love.  You can also use a red rose to represent a parent or child you love very much.  Love is something most of us experience or want to experience and a red rose tattoo is a great way to express this desire.

Pink roses have been said to be fun or even beginning love.  You may use a pink rose to represent someone you care deeply about, but not like a parent or other relative.  You may also just like the color pink and this is a good enough reason to get a pink rose tattoo.

A yellow rose is said to indicate friendship, so you will not want to get one to represent your significant other, or it might be misinterpreted.  A yellow rose can represent a friend that you have had, or a sibling you are friends with.  Yellow roses also signify congratulations and may be used for the birth of a new baby or a graduation.

A white rose is said to symbolize purity and a tattoo with a white rose may represent this.  A white rose is also often used in weddings and a tattoo with a white rose may be used to if you are newly married to memorialize the event.  A white rose is also used in many religious settings and may be used as a tattoo this way also.

Coral or orange roses can symbolize happiness and you can use them as a tattoo to represent anything that makes you happy.   You may even want to combine colors to create beautiful images on your skin.

Black roses usually represent darkness, or death.  Black roses are very common in tattoos and can represent the death of someone you love, or the death of something else, like a relationship.

Rose tattoos are a great way to show how you feel in the form of art.  You may simply just love a color of rose and you can get a tattoo of a rose without focusing on the meaning.  You can find many resources that will help you make an informed decision that you will always be happy with.

Summary: Rose tattoos are one of the most common forms of tattoos available.  Each color of the rose has a different, significant meaning.  You can combine colors to create a beautiful effect.  You can use a tattoo of a rose to commemorate a significant person or time in your life.
